A series of bilateral conflicts are coming into sharper focus, each carrying the potential for significant and far-reaching consequences upon their resolution. They can be summed up as: Trump versus (pick the adversary) on a host of cases that the Supreme Court will rule upon; Democrats versus Republicans on federal spending; Trump versus the Supreme Court (classic bullying); Russia versus Ukraine and Israel versus Hamas/Iran on cease-fire agreements; and Michigan versus Michigan State in the NCAA Basketball Tournament, Elite Eight round (we hope!).
