It reinforces the notion that unions protect work and jobs at the expense of customers and service. It suggests that collective bargaining turns government into a provider of jobs instead of public services.
June 8, 2012: President Obama – “The private sector is doing fine. Where we’re seeing weaknesses in our economy have to do with state and local government.”
Connecting the dots: Businesses are the generators of jobs. A focus on using government to provide jobs is unsustainable. Encourage business job creation, not government.
