Week of October 5, 2026
Since 1950, the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield has averaged approximately 5.4%. Today, the yield is 5.3%, compared with a recent low of just 1.3% at the end of 2021. With interest rates now near their long-term historical average, we believe the risk/reward characteristics of intermediate Treasury securities have become more attractive. Accordingly, we have moved our U.S. Treasury Interest Rates Signal from yellow to green.
