Now that baseball is in a health hiatus, second guessing, also known as, I told you so, 20/20 hindsight, etc., has become the national pastime. The fact that we have a national election in less than six months may have something to do with that. But this blog is not about politics.
It is easy for investors to look back and think about all the things they should have done. This is not productive. Certainly, it can be helpful to look back and make appropriate adjustments to long term portfolio strategies, as circumstances change, but wishful thinking should not be part of that. Instead, work with your advisor(s) to move forward and try to remember, today is the first day of the rest of your life.
