“The Way We Were”

This is the title of a successful 1973 film starring Barbra Streisand and Robert Redford.  The movie focused on how a mutual attraction in college changed during and after WW2, giving rise to the fundamental premise that the two were no longer the way they were.

Today we are in the middle of a serious pandemic with little or no clarity as to how and/or when the effects will fade to manageable proportions.  However, one thing is nearly certain, as the world emerges and economies open up, most of us won’t be “the way we were.”

Successful investment strategies tend to focus on long-term opportunities based on informed projections.  This is going to be more difficult in the current environment, making it even more important for investors to stay in touch with their advisor(s) in order to implement mid-course corrections as more information becomes available.
